About My Art

The beginning of my painting process varies by day, it can start with an intended sketch, idea, or just some random brushstrokes on the canvas. My paintings are created using traditional oil paints and are supported by canvas or wood panels. Illustrations are digital, or oil on paper and modified digitally.

My artwork is influenced by surrealism and expressionism, and usually has varying degrees of abstraction. Seemingly ordinary forms serve dual lives, brushwork and organic line direct the eye. My intent is to create an image that you can journey into, something not seen in the ordinary day, leading each on a slightly different path dependent on their own personal experience, beliefs, and emotions.
